Katie Warren's Picture

Katie Warren is a spiritual director, art facilitator, retreat leader, and emerging artist. She has a master’s degree in counseling and is a provider of spiritual direction with Potter’s Touch — a spiritual guidance network of the United Methodist Church. She completed the Sursum Corda Spiritual Directors Formation Program and is a trained SoulCollage® Facilitator. Katie is a member of Hearts on Fire—the Fellowship of United Methodists Spiritual Directors and Retreat Leaders, Spiritual Directors International, and the International Order of St. Luke the Physician.

Katie offers individual spiritual direction and art and group spiritual direction.

Individual spiritual direction is usually a once a month process in which an individual, with the support of the spiritual director and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, discerns God's direction for them. This assumes a willingness to reflect prayerfully and honestly on one’s faith journey and to share one’s story with another human being. All spiritual direction is confidential.

Art and group spiritual direction invites us to open the pathways between art and prayer. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the art exercises can help us open more fully to God as we come to know God and ourselves at a deeper level. The confidential spiritual direction group provides a safe haven for discernment. Collage is the medium generally used for the art in response to Lectio Divina. Previous art experience is not required.

Art and group spiritual direction begins in September of each year ending in June of the following year. Groups meet once a month for three hours and are limited to five participants.
