Art & Group Spiritual Direction

Offered by Katie Warren ~ Potter’s Touch Provider of Spiritual Direction

Group Spiritual direction is a process in which a group of people meet on a regular basis in an atmosphere of prayer to pay attention to the movement of the Holy Spirit in their lives.  The confidential spiritual direction group provides a safe haven for discernment. Spiritual direction nurtures awareness between our longing for God and our daily choices.

·         The making of prayer cards using the SoulCollage® process is an avenue for coming close to God through art as prayer. The making of the art is an intuitive process. The use of images, intuition and imagination helps us to express our prayers in ways that go beyond what words can often express. When we start, we do not know where we will go. We cannot know the things we will learn or experience, but we can trust the Spirit’s leading.

·         The art component provides a way for communicating with God through the use of images, color, shapes, etc. as we invite our spiritual self to open to a new creation. The combination of the art experience and reflection with the group creates a link that strengthens us in our journey with God. Previous art experience/talent not required.

·         Groups meet once monthly for 3 hours. Group sharing is confidential. Cost: $250 for 10 sessions beginning in September 2015-June 2016. Prayer cards included in the cost.  Call Katie at 828-275-3971 or email to register or for more information. Group size is limited. Additional details sent upon registration. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required at registration. Checks are payable to Katie Warren.
