Alice Myer, LCSW

One way to nurture the sacred journey of this life is through Spiritual Direction sometimes called Spiritual Guidance or Companioning. One can consciously decide to embrace the Divine in one’s  life and move deeper into discovering and evolving into your true self in relationship with God and others. In Spiritual Guidance our time together can focus on discernment of choices life presents, finding meaning through life’s transitions, going deeper during difficult struggles and losses in life, and/or share in wonder , prayer and aha’s one experiences. It can be a time of spiritual birthing where the director or guide is like a midwife to hold the sacred space for self-discovery and newness of life in their walk with God and service. It can be a time to embrace God’s constant and abiding love for you.

I work from a contemplative tradition of listening and prayer. I see individuals both clergy and lay for direction and offer retreats.  I received my training from Shalem Institute.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and pastoral counselor.  My theological training is from The University Of the South, School of Theology, Sewanee, Tennessee in Effectiveness for Ministry as well as being a lifelong adult learner.
